Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose has been fined $25,000 for publicly criticizing refs after his teams Monday victory over the New York Knicks.

Speaking after the game Rose spoke about what he perceived as the lack of foul calls in his favor:

“I’ve gotta be the only superstar in the league that’s going through what I’m going through right now … But I can’t say too much about it.”

On Tuesday Rose said he expected to be fined for his actions.

Defending his star player Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said:

“I think you guys know Derrick, Derrick’s not a complainer … Usually if he says something, he has a point that he wants to make. I thought he was driving the ball pretty hard and didn’t get calls so he wanted to make a point.”

It’s been an up and down season for Rose who has missed 10 games with turf toe and back issues.

Do you think Derrick Rose had a valid point about calls against and for him during the New York Nicks game or was he just acting like a spoiled NBA superstar?
