Danica Patrick will be co-hosting the American Country Awards on December 10 alongside singer Trace Adkins.
While NASCAR is where Danica Patrick usually does her laps, the race car driver will be sprinting on and off the stage as she and Adkins play emcees at the Mandalay Bay festivities in Vegas this December.
Last year, Adkins co-hosted the fete with Broadway stunner Kristin Chenoweth, so the newly announced sidekick is a definitely change of pace.
In a statement, Trace joked :
“I can’t wait to see if I have what it takes to keep up with this racing superstar.”
Danica answered back in a statement as well, saying that, as a country music fan, the experience is one she’s really looking forward to — she explains:
“I’m so excited to host the American Country Awards with Trace Adkins. I have no doubt he’ll be able to keep up with me. I’ve become a huge fan of country music since I came to NASCAR and have been fortunate to be in videos with Miranda Lambert and Colt Ford.”
Patrick continues:
“This is going to be a really cool experience and I’m excited to be a part of it. It’s going to be a great show!”
The co-hosting with NASCAR star Danica Patrick gig caps off a good year for Atkins. In addition to the country awards hosting fete, the singer is also coming out with a new album of Celtic-infused Christmas songs titled “The King’s Gift,” which hits stores and digital retailers like iTunes on October 26.
