Dan Swygart Defends Relationship With 23-Year-Old Shauna Rae, Calls Criticism 'Disgusting'

Shauna Rae's adorable companionship with Dan Swygart has attracted a lot of criticism online, and, Swygart isn't having any of it. He faced backlash for being with a 23-year-old, whose pituitary dwarfism gives her body a look more equal to that of an 8-year-old. He defended Shauna's human right to build connections with people in two Instagram reels, according to PEOPLE. "Me and Shauna are still just good friends getting to know each other. But I think it's absolutely disgusting the attitude of some people," Dan, 26, said in the reel. "She's been through so much in life. She survived cancer as a child, she's always felt different and been treated differently by society." He further added, "But how dare you take away her right, her human right, to have a connection, a friendship, a relationship with someone else? Who are you to say that she can't have that?" Moreover, Swaygart said he was "disgusted" by all the scrutiny concerning their relationship.
