A married couple from Tennessee have been arrested and charged for renting out their four daughters, aged 5-16, for child pornography. It is alleged that the couple were high on bath salts when they were arrested.
The couple, Connie and Ronny Lee MCCall, aged 40 and 61, are accused of keeping their four daughters in appallingly filthy conditions in their trailer home in Johnson City.
The prosecuting attorney in the case said it was the worst he had encountered in his 20-year career .
The gut churning story began back 2012, when the couple’s daughters, aged 5, 12, 15 and 17, were taken into protective custody following a home visit to the trailer.
Tony Clark, the District Attorney on the case, told reporters that the children’s teeth were rotten due to neglect: “When the youngest child was taken in, several if not all of her teeth were rotted. There was animal waste inside the home,” he said.
Debbie Dunn from the police department also spoke about the condition of the girls: “The amount of tooth decay, you can imagine, was extremely painful. She had black teeth, and holes in all the teeth, just really inexcusable.”
On top of that, the youngest daughter, aged just five, had flea bites, lice and ring worms due to the putrid conditions in which she was kept by her parents.
DA Clark said that after questioning, the girls made it apparent that they were suffering much more than just neglect at home:
“There was money that changed hands between the individuals that were taking pictures and the parents. The children said that they had been taken to various locations and performing sex acts with an adult.”
According to Clark, the man from Washington County who is believed to have engaged in sex acts with the girls, as well as filming them, has since committed suicide.
Ronnie Lee McCall has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. His wife Connie is due back in court on Wednesday. The girls are reportedly doing well as they recover from their ordeal in foster care.
