Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Ronaldo’s form has dipped, and many fans and analysts have offered various excuses for the Portuguese star. Many believe that Cristiano simply is experiencing a purple patch that is natural to all great athletes.
However, many speculate that the time of Ronaldo’s form is an indicator of the specified problem. Recently, the Portuguese forward was dumped by his long-time girlfriend, Irina Shayk.
Since the start of the new year, Cristiano Ronaldo has managed to score measly four goals and has managed to get sent off with a straight red only to haplessly return in game where he and Real Madrid were spanked 4-0 by bitter city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Despite the poor form, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has stood by Ronaldo .

However, according to media speculation , Cristiano Ronaldo may finally be put up for sale in the summer should Real Madrid avoid a transfer ban. It is suggested that the Real Madrid hierarchy are aware of the age of CR7 and are worried that his current form are signs of things to come.
Ronaldo’s form has surely dipped, and Real Madrid will be wary as arch-rivals FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are hot on their heels despite an explosive run earlier this season. In the near future, Real will travel to Germany to take on Schalke in the UEFA Champions League.
Last season, Madrid trashed Schalke, becoming the first team in Champions League history to score six away goals, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a brace. There might not be a better opponent for the Portuguese to find top form against.
