A Missouri State Fair rodeo drew critisizm when a clown performing there appeared wearing an Obama mask.

The controversy surround the comments made by the announcer come clown to the excited crowd when he asked them if they wanted to see “Obama run down by a bull.”

The comments by the Obama mask wearing clown in Sedalia have caused an outcry. Lt. Gov.Peter Kinder, Missouri’s second highest ranking official, even felt it necessary to denounce the tasteless impression of the President in a tweet proclaiming,: “We are better than this,” and saying the incident was “disrespectful.”

Officials representing the State Fair agreed that the wearing of the Obama mask was “inappropriate,” saying: “We strive to be a family friendly event and regret that Saturday’s rodeo badly missed that mark.”

One of the spectators at the event, Perry Beam from Higginsville, said that people screamed when the announcer asked the crowd if they wanted to see the bull rundown President Obama. He said:

“It was at that point I began to feel a sense of fear. It was that level of enthusiasm.”

Another clown then approached the Obama mask wearing clown, pretending to tickle him and playing with his lips.

Many of the spectators were horrified at the events that unfolded, with the announcer apparently saying: “Here’s our Obama dummy, or our dummy of Obama.” Beam continued:

“They mentioned the president’s name, I don’t know, 100 times. It was sickening. It was feeling like some kind of Klan rally you’d see on TV.”

The incident is being looked into by State Officials, but it is not clear what action, if any, will be taken against the organizers of the Missouri State Fair rodeo.

What is clear is that clown wearing the Obama mask in the Missouri rodeo has a lot of questions to answer about what precisely he was thinking when he made his tactless and distasteful comments.
