Chris Hemsworth in Ghostbusters has made “#Ghostbusters” the hottest trend on Twitter. And the muscle-packed Thor from the Marvel movies has decided that he wants to be a funny man by taking on roles in both Ghostbusters and Vacation , reported the Los Angeles Times.
In addition to Chris, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon will star in the new version of the famous film. But don’t look for Hemsworth to act as a Ghostbusters superhero. Instead, in a complete 180 from his usual action role, Chris will play a receptionist, revealed director Paul Feig on Twitter.
“Our receptionist. #whoyougonnacall,” posted Paul with a photo of Hemsworth.
The hashtag “#whoyougonnacall” is a quote from Ghostbusters.
In addition to the director’s tweet, a production insider confirmed that Chris will take on the role, replacing the original Ghostbusters receptionist, Annie Potts.
In addition to directing, Feig is co-authoring with Katie Dippold. The film will spook out movie-goers on July 22, 2016, with Hemsworth showing his witty side.
For fans of Melissa McCarthy , the news of a female Ghostbusters comes as a delight after some had worried that her expansion into the fashion designer world might mean fewer roles for the popular comedienne. Instead, Melissa is fulfilling her former dream of becoming a designer with her current passion of acting, reported People .
Until she turned 20, McCarthy planned to design women’s clothes. But she left fashion school to pursue the potential of stand-up comedy.
Now, with two daughters (Vivian, 8, and Georgie, 5) and devoted husband, Ben Falcone, Melissa feels that the time has come for her to achieve it all.
Appearing in stores in fall 2015, the Melissa McCarthy Seven7 collection will fit women from size 4 to 28. And McCarthy proudly wears her own designs.
“From grade school until age 20, I had one thought in my head, which was doing women’s clothing,” revealed the Ghostbusters actress. “To get to come back to it, is kind of crazy. It’s pretty dreamy.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Melissa recently lost an estimated 50 pounds with a low-carb diet.

High in protein, the weight loss plan eliminated starchy carbohydrates such as bread and pasta.
In addition, McCarthy revealed that she stopped stressing so much.
“I truly stopped worrying about it. I stopped over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-doing anything. I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it and I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked. I could’ve figured that out before 44, but whatever.”
