Chris Brown’s baby momma Nia Guzman tells Latina.com that she has “nothing positive” to say about co-parenting with him. She also admits that if she could have kept the daughter they share a secret from the public, she would have.
“The world didn’t find out about her until a year ago. He always knew about her, he just wasn’t ready to deal with the situation,” she said in the interview. She went on to explain why she decided to keep baby Royalty secret. “I know that he’s young, he’s wild, and he has the bad boy persona, and I just knew that it just wasn’t going to be the best situation. And if I could have still kept it quiet until now, I would have.”

Brown was recently awarded joint custody of his 1-year old daughter after a judge denied Guzman’s request to restrict his custody privileges due to alleged “drug use and gang affiliation.” Despite his victory, Nia says she will continue to shade Brown as they continue to co-parent.
“I’m not a millionaire like daddy, so of course it is going to be regular on my side. It’s just going to take a lot of talking and just getting her to know right from right and wrong from wrong, and not be some spoiled little rich kid out here just thinking that the world is hers and she can do whatever she wants. I don’t want her to self-destruct. I want her to be raised normal.”
As for Brown’s parenting skills, Nia said, “I can’t say anything positive about it… at all. Nothing positive.” She also revealed her bewilderment at his tantrum on social media recently over their daughter’s dance outfit.
“I mean the fact that I had just spoken with him. He had already seen a video of her on her way to ballet class. To make that remark online, was totally insane to me,” she said. “I personally saw nothing wrong with it. She always dresses like that to dance class. It was a cute picture, she had just finished dance, she was pouting. It was a funny moment, and she was leaned back looking at me because she was totally pissed off, because it was time to go. … I don’t sexualize a toddler, or think of my children in any way like that. So for the backlash of that… I didn’t understand it.”

Brown has had a number of legal issues, jail visits, public spats with his mother and a stay in rehab. Prince once offered to mentor the troubled musician after his infamous 2009 domestic violence incident with pop star Rihanna. The late-iconic entertainer revealed that he reached out to Brown during a 2014 Rolling Stone interview, in which he also dished on the death of Michael Jackson.
“I don’t want to talk about it. I’m too close to it,” Prince said in reference to a question about Jackson. “He is just one of many who have gone through that door—Amy Winehouse and folks. We’re all connected, right, we’re all brothers and sisters, and the minute we lock that in, we wouldn’t let anybody in our family fall. That’s why I called Chris Brown. All of us need to be able to reach out and just fix stuff. There’s nothing that’s unforgivable.”
