While most women her age gave up any glimmer of hope of fitting into lingerie 25 years ago, Cher, 62, is still getting all trannied up and slipping into sheer, jewel encrusted bodysuits and performing live in front of thousands of adoring fans.
The geriatric pop icon was the star performer at this weekend’s David Foster and Friends concert at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas where she performed several of her classic hits.
Cher’s career spans more than 40 years with her first big hit being the 1965 classic, “I’ve got you babe” which she performed with her late husband Sonny Bono. Some of her other hits include “Believe” and “If I could turn back time” which she certainly attempted to do on the weekend by wearing the same see through outfit she first wore on stage 17 years ago.
When asked about her admitted plastic surgery and getting older, Cher said:
“Everyone says I am terrified of getting old, but the truth is that in my job becoming old and becoming extinct are one and the same thing. And becoming obsolete and useless is completely unattractive to me.”
