None other than Mr. Tiger Blood himself – Charlie Sheen – may be showing up in the final episode of Two And A Half Men ; that is, if Charlie can convince the right people to let him back.
In an interview with TV Guide Magazine , Sheen said that he has reached out to Two And A Half Men producers about bringing his character, Charlie Harper, back for the finale.
I’ve reached out to them and they’ve reached back. We’re trying to figure out what makes the most sense. If they figure it out like I’ve presented it to them and they want to include me in some final send-off, I’m available and I’m showing up early. If not, it’s on them.”
The character, Charlie Harper, was killed off in the first episode of the 2011-2012 season, replaced by Walden Schmidt, played by Ashton Kutcher. Charlie Harper was killed off after Charlie Sheen went off the rails in the spring of 2011, going into rehab after having some choice things to say about his Two And A Half Men bosses and going on ridiculous Twitter rants about “Tiger Blood” and “Winning!”
You can see how this might create a problem since Charlie Harper, the character, is dead. And not just “mostly dead”; that episode took great care to make sure that the audience understood that Charlie Harper was really, really dead. So the show would have to either bring him back as a ghost, or find some weird workaround to explain how he so convincingly faked his death.
As for whether or not Sheen has made right with his old boss, executive producer Chuck Lorre, Sheen would only say that the two understand each other.
“Ethereally we have [made up], personally we have not. But I’m easy to grab. He was doing his job, I was doing mine. At the end of the day, the guy’s a genius. Look at what he does. I don’t have to spend time with him anymore for him to be brilliant. I wish him nothing but the best.”
If Charlie Sheen does return for the series finale of Two And A Half Men , that would mean that one member of the original cast is still visibly absent: Angus T. Jones, who played the half-man Jake for the show’s first ten seasons, is also separated from the show. He got religion and famously called the show “filth,” according to this Inquisitr report, and encouraged fans not to watch it, thus earning his walking papers as well.
As of this post, no one at CBS or Warner Brothers has offered any comment on the possibility of bringing back Charlie Sheen for the Two And A Half Men .
