Magic Mike star Channing Tatum and his actress wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum have decided not to find out the gender of their baby until it’s born.
Though they are excited about the arrival of their first child, the couple said they plan on keeping his or her sex a secret until delivery day this summer.
“We’re going to be surprised, I think we’re going to do that on this one,” Tatum, 32, told E News . “It’s one of the only real surprises that you’re ever gonna get that’s legit.”
Meanwhile, Mrs. Tatum has been having strange dreams about floating on a magic carpet since getting pregnant, and believes her elevated hormones are to blame.
In January Jenna took to Twitter to write:
”OK my fellow preggars ladies about these hormonal dreams … Is it normal to fly on a magic carpet while presenting at Golden globes?? Lol. (sic)”
While her dreams have been certainly bizarre, Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s pregnancy cravings haven’t been too much out of the ordinary, according to Channing.
“She never really ate sweets before,” the 21 Jump Street actor revealed, “but she loves sweets now. She loves chocolate and that whole thing, but nothing really out of the ordinary, nothing like pickles and icing, nothing weird.”
Channing and Jenna, who wed in 2009 after dating for three year, announced their pregnancy in December .
