Chad Johnson had not yet seen the newest episode, which featured the remaining guys throwing a huge celebration, complete with cupcakes, after his departure. Kimmel showed him a clip of the guys’ reaction to finally having Chad out of the house and asked how it made him feel.
Johnson took it all in with a sense of humor, saying the whole thing is “pretty hilarious.”
He added, “I mean, I get it, like, you took me out. Good job. You sabotaged me, brah.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Chad Johnson posted a picture of himself kissing the ex-girlfriend of fellow Bachelorette contestant Robby Hayes on Monday. Johnson captioned the photo, criticizing Hayes for dumping Hope Higginbotham after four years in order to pursue fame on The Bachelorette .
Kimmel quizzed Chad about this possible new romance, asking if it was a real kiss or if it was staged just for fun. Johnson wouldn’t elaborate very much, saying he didn’t want to speculate on where the potential relationship may or may not go.
“We were traveling and we just happened to see each other and things went from there. It started off as were friends, we were just kind of making jokes about it, but…I don’t know. I don’t want to make any judgments or say where it’s going to go.”
Jimmy Kimmel asked Chad Johnson if he has any concerns over how his behavior on the show may affect his business, joking that he wouldn’t want to be alone in a house with the Bachelorette villain. Johnson said the intimidation factor comes in handy at the negotiation table, and surprisingly, he’s gotten a lot of new business out of the exposure.
Kimmel also gave Chad Johnson the opportunity to explain his threats against Jordan Rogers when he promised to hunt him down at his home after The Bachelorette was over.
Chad Johnson assured Jimmy Kimmel that he would never follow through with any threats like those he made toward Jordan. He went on to say that he resorted to the “crazy” act in an attempt to get his fellow contestants to get off his back.
“Honestly, at that point, I was just joking with him. I was just trying to get the guy to be quiet. You don’t know what to say. There was a point where I couldn’t even sleep in the next room because they were talking about me so much. So I literally was just, like, how crazy do I have to go until maybe they’ll think I’m insane and then they’ll just start to leave me alone?”

Finally, Jimmy Kimmel asked about the far-fetched possibility of Chad Johnson landing a role as the next Bachelor . Chad said while he is still single and searching for love — despite the recent PDA-packed photos with Robby’s ex — The Bachelor is probably not an option.
“Being the Bachelor would obviously be amazing, to have a choice from a group of absolutely beautiful women…but I don’t know. I feel like at this point I was portrayed to be a little too crazy to be that person.”
Chad Johnson joked that for now, he’s content in the company of his cute little dog, Pumpkin, who quietly hung out for the entire interview.
Early in the Bachelorette season, Chad Johnson provided some background on having to watch his mother die of cancer. The former U.S. Marine explained in an Instagram post that he didn’t have time for relationships for the past three years because every spare minute was spent by her side. Chad Johnson said even his late mother found the humor in his “cocky” behavior.
“For the last three years of my life, when I wasn’t at work, I spent nearly every waking moment spending time with and taking care of my mother who was dying of liver cancer. I was sleeping next to her with my head on her chest when she passed. So maybe I’m a bit cocky, but you know what… I think it’s hilarious, and so did my mother.”
