Celine Dion’s son love high heels, which is good because the singer has a collection of more than 3,000 pairs of shoes for the toddler to play with.
In a wide-ranging interview with Katie Couric, Dion said that her two-year-old son Nelson loves to get into her wardrobe and pick out some of his favorite pairs of heels. Celine shared a picture of Nelson, decked out in a red blazer and grey pants and waring a pair of three-inch black heels .
“One of my sons, Nelson, who is two-and-a-half year, he looks better in heels that me,” Celine Dion joked to Couric, adding, “‘I don’t know how he does it, but I’m not the only one in the family who loves shoes, believe me.”
And just how many heels can Celine Dion’s son can try on? The singer said she stopped counting, but even as it stretches into the thousands the big shoe collection likely won’t put a dent into Celine’s fortune. She signed a $100 million contract to spend the next three years in residency at Caesars Palace.
Earlier this year, a bad case of sinusitis forced Dion to take a break from the show for a while. She had to cancel a number of shows after being instructed by doctors to recuperate.
A statement on her website read:
“We regret to inform you that Celine performances Tuesday, February 19 through Friday, February 22 at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace have been cancelled. After recovering from the flu last week, Celine developed a secondary infection [sinusitis] which is being treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine.
“Her doctor has instructed her to rest for a period of seven consecutive days in order for her to fully recover. Celine’s previously scheduled dates February 26 through March 16 will proceed as scheduled.”

It’s likely that Celine Dion’s son can wear heels all he wants. She and 69-year-old husband Rene Angelil tried for years to get pregnant and suffered a miscarriage before they conceived 12-year-old Rene-Charles. Little Nelson came along about a decade later.
