NFL football is back and the 2015 Hall of Fame Game — the traditional opening game of each year’s pre-season schedule — will be available to watch live online. The game pits last season’s AFC North Division champions Pittsburgh Steelers against the Minnesota Vikings, who will be looking this time around to improve on their 7-9 record in 2014, good only for third place in the NFC North.
As the first pre-season game, with both teams in only their second week of training camp, the matchup will not exactly see the teams at their best. Nonetheless, the Hall of Fame Game is the first NFL pro football game since the Super Bowl in February, and fans starved for gridiron action will want to catch this one.

Kickoff time is set for 8 p.m. Eastern Time, 5 p.m. Pacific at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio — home of the Football Hall of Fame — on Sunday, August 9.
The biggest storyline going into the Vikings vs. Steelers game has to be the return of Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson from his suspension after an indictment last year for physically abusing his four-year-old son.
But will Peterson get much — or any — time on the field? Early reports conflict on whether the Vikings will let their disgraced superstar get his game feet wet.
On the Steelers side of the ball, however, four of the team’s premier players have already been announced as scratches for the game. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, receiver Antonio Brown, running back Le’Veon Bell, and center Maurkice Pouncey will not even be in pads for the game.
Steelers fans will, however, get a good look at the team’s first-round draft pick this year, linebacker Bud Dupree — as well as third-year backup quarterback Landry Jones.
“He’s going to play a lot. We don’t have a pre-determined snap count, but we’re going to play him until we’ve seen enough, and then maybe give somebody else some work,” said Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin of Jones, a 2013 fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma. “He could play the entire game, or he could play the majority of the game. Our intent is to get a good look at him.”
