Camille Grammer Gets Restraining Order, Tweets About Alleged Domestic Violence

Camille Grammer, former wife of star Kelsey Grammer, has requested a restraining order against boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos.

Grammer was granted the injunction for an incident that allegedly occurred on October 16 in a Texas hotel room, and TMZ obtained court documents detailing the alleged assault.

According to TMZ, Camille and Charalambopoulous were guests in the hotel the night of the reported fracas, and the dispute began when, by Grammer’s account, a woman first texted and then called her boyfriend.

An argument is said to have ensued:

“In her declaration, filed by attorney Larry Stein and obtained by TMZ, Camille claims on October 16, she was in a Houston hotel room with boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos… recovering from cancer surgery just days before… At 1:30 AM Camille says a woman started texting Dimitri and ended up calling him and screaming.”

It’s not clear precisely what happened after the woman’s call to Charalambopoulos, but Grammer says the confrontation then escalated. The documents were described on TMZ, and the site says that the complaint is definitely a bit scary.

Per their read of the legal filing, Grammer claims that Charalambopoulos fisted her hair and banged her head against the headboard, yanking fistfuls of it out as the confrontation ensued. She says she wanted to call for help — but additionally claims he smashed her iPhone to prevent her from using it during the alleged abuse.

TMZ adds:

“But it didn’t end there. Camille claims Dimitri ‘squeezed my nose between his finger and pushed upward forcefully, covering my mouth in an attempt to silence me to prevent me from breathing.’… Camille also claims Dimitri wrestled her on the hotel bed, ‘repeatedly slamming my head and face into the furniture and completely immobilizing me’ She claims he said, ‘I wanna smash your head in. I’ll give you a reason to call the cops.’ ”

The incident reportedly was not just scary — Grammer also says that it was lengthy. Despite the alleged severity of the physical dispute, she says the argument dragged on for 40 minutes to possibly an hour, and ABC has a quoted excerpt from Grammer’s request for an order of protection:

“[He] succeeded in pulling out swaths of my hair and gave me a large, painful contusion on the side of my head. All the while, I was screaming for help.”

Grammer has also tweeted about the incident, though she hasn’t mentioned specifics:

The order states that Charalambopoulos must stay 100 feet away from Camille Grammer as well as her children.
