Camille Grammer announced the end of her cancer treatment on Twitter.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed that she had completed her chemotherapy and radiation treatment on the micro-blogging site Friday (January 3). The reality television vet included a picture taken after her final round of treatment.
“I rang the bell at MD Anderson Cancer Center which marks that I have completed my Chemo and Radiation treatments. Thank you and your terrific doctors and staff!” she posted.
A representative for the TV star revealed last October that Camille Grammer received a “radical hysterectomy,” though doctors fully believed that she would recover from the procedure. The reality star shared some details about her cancer scare during an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show last year.
“My heart sank. You know, you think about your children, am I gonna make it, I want to be alive for them. My son doesn’t really understand it that well, but my daughter said, mom, I’m so glad you’re getting surgery ’cause then the cancer’s gonna be all gone.”
To make matters worse for Camille, she was allegedly assaulted by ex-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos at a Houston hotel while recovering from the procedure. Grammer told Dr. Oz that the incident left her feeling extremely “traumatized.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said:
“Oh, it was just terrible ’cause, you know, right after any kind of procedure, you want to be surrounded by love and you need good healing vibes and positive energy around you… somebody’s there to take care of you and love you, and… I was physically abused and assaulted by this person and it was very traumatizing. But now, I’m working with a therapist, and I’m going to be okay.”
Despite everything that she faced during that very trying time in her life, Camile Grammer is seemingly on the mend. The reality TV veteran told Dr. Oz that she was able to get back into the swing of things shortly after the assault and the surgery .
“I have to say once in a while I’ll get a little pain here and there, but I’m walking around. I was able to go trick-or-treating with my kids and my life is moving forward and I’m feeling very well.”
