Caitlyn Jenner is debuting a new look for a new dawn in her life. It’s been a long, often challenging journey for Jenner from the Olympic winner dubbed as as the world’s greatest athlete to coming out as transgender , but Caitlyn now is determined to rock what’s become her trademark fiercely fashionable style, reported E! News .
Visiting New York City while being filmed for I Am Cait , which debuts July 26, Jenner alternated wardrobes while visiting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. She also spent time with pal Candis Cayne, who is a transgender actress.
But it was Jenner’s unanticipated appearance at NYC Pride that surprised even the usual blase Big Apple residents. She also shared a photo of those with whom she dined, including Chandi Moore, Geena Rocero, Allie Hoffman, Sam Feder, Trace Lysette, Barbara CarRellas, and Trace Lysette.
“Such a fun dinner in NYC w/ this powerful group of trans women,” tweeted Caitlyn. “They are all so beautiful.”
And almost of them reciprocated with their own praise for Caitlyn on social media.
“Had a wonderful dinner connecting with progressive minds. #transisbeautiful #genderproud #girlfslikeus,” wrote Lysette.
“Amazing dinner with fabulous Caitlyn Jenner, Candis Cayne and many power Trans Ladies!” shared Rocero. #TransPinay #genderproud #girlslikeus #transisbeautiful.”
For Caitlyn, the visit to New York was almost overwhelmingly emotional at times. From an event at the PH-D Rooftop Lounge in Manhattan to the Gay Pride Parade, Jenner was greeted with cheers.
“Caitlyn was blushing and waving,” said an observer.
For those who are asking why Jenner decided to do her own reality TV series after participating in Keeping Up With the Kardashians for years, she answered in a recent promo.
“I am telling my story. People don’t understand looking into the mirror and nothing seems right. Putting on clothes that you really don’t identify with. This is about getting to be who you really are.”
But the response from the Jenners and Kardashians to I Am Cait has been very different. In the most recent promo, Caitlyn embraced Kylie Jenner , as the Inquisitr reported.
And Kylie sent her transgender parent a Father’s Day message that expressed her love and admiration.
“Happy Father’s Day my little light of sunshine ‘You can still call me dad, Kylie. No matter what I’m always going to be your father. That’s never going to change,’ ” wrote Kylie.
But while Khloe, Kim, and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as both Kylie and Kendall Jenner, have expressed their support and cooperation, Jenner’s four oldest children have refused to participate in the upcoming reality show, reported Business Insider .
Great day yesterday for Father’s Day. We had so much fun off-roading. So much love and support! Love my family! pic.twitter.com/xemTJPuySv

Cassandra, Burt, Brandon, and Brody Jenner are from Jenner’s first two marriages. They are concerned that the network and producers will exploit Caitlyn and turn it into a spin-off of the sometimes-sensationalized Keeping Up With the Kardashians .
Although Caitlyn promised them that in her role as executive producer, she could avoid that possibility, the older Jenner kids disagree.
“You go on E!’s website, the Bunim/Murray website, and you look at all the shows, every one of them is a circus,” argued Brandon. “With Bunim/Murray and E!, it’s been the opposite of inspiration. Oh my God, we’re diving into the lion’s den — they’re gonna make a show about the Jenners versus the Kardashians.”
