Burger King is the latest company to give their dollar menu a major overhaul.

The fast food joint isn’t ditching their dollar menu altogether, but it’s definitely getting a makeover. In addition to offering menu items for a buck, the company is giving customers a few selections priced slightly higher than others. Goodbye dollar menu, hello King Deals.

Affordable offerings such as chicken nuggets and spicy chicken sandwiches are still present and accounted for, although they’ll have some pricier competition. Burger King’s revamped value menu reportedly includes the Rodeo Crispy Chicken and Rodeo Burger, items that come equipped onion rings and barbecue sauce .

Of course, Burger King isn’t the only fast food company to make some changes to its wallet-friendly value menu in recent days. McDonald’s and Wendy’s both introduced pricier items in hopes of generating a few more dollars from cash-strapped patrons. While Wendy’s opted for the Right Price Right Size menu, McDonald’s went with the Dollar Menu and More.

Eric Hirschhorn, Burger King’s North American marketing chief, said that customers responded positively to the restaurant chain’s dollar menu in the past. The company is no doubt hoping that some of these folks will cough up a few more dollars to try out some of the fast food chain’s pricier additions.

“We want to continue creating great-tasting products that don’t sacrifice on taste,” he added.

The National Restaurant Association reported an increase in traffic and same-store sales from these famous fast food joints earlier this year; business that could result in much more revenue if the companies play their cards right.

“Looking forward, restaurant operators are relatively optimistic about sales growth in the months ahead, though their outlook for the overall economy remains mixed,” Hudson Riehle explained to the Los Angeles Times .

Burger King is also looking to expand its business overseas. The company is hoping to open more restaurants throughout India and France over the next several years.

“India is a market with huge potential for Burger King restaurants and we have the chance to offer the unique Burger King brand proposition to its consumers with our own local twist to the menu,” BK AsiaPac Pte. Ltd president Elias Diaz Sese said in a statement.

The Inquisitr previously reported that a BK location opened in Paris years after the chain pulled up stakes in the country. The grand opening was so popular with burger enthusiasts that people lined up around the block to get a taste of the restaurant’s iconic Whopper.

Burger King currently operates approximately 7,400 restaurants in North America alone. Worldwide, the fast food chain has 13,000 locations ready and willing to do business.
