Bob Saget On ‘Full House’ Reboot: Not Everyone Is On Board

As we reported a Full House reboot is currently in the works. It all started with hoax reports that were circulating a few months back. Then Candace Cameron-Bure appeared on Dancing with The Stars and many Full House cast mates supported her. The constant reunions turned into something with real viability and now the gang is back for a revival.

That said, not everyone is interested in returning to reprise their roles. When news broke that a Full House reboot was coming, fans of the show were excited, but before you flip out take a look at what Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) said about what may be in store for the reboot.

According to People magazine who spoke with Saget, the actor is giving the fans some real talk about the Full House reboot.

Back in April Saget said :

“Not everybody would want to do it. Maybe two-thirds of the cast would want to.”

However, if we can count on anyone returning it’s John Stamos as he is in charge of putting everything together. The cool Elvis obsessed Uncle Jesse will return to the show but he may come without his wife Rebecca. Saget said of John:

“John [Stamos] is such a good guy, and I think he would want it to happen in some way if it could. I don’t think it will happen in a way that it would be everybody.”

As for Lori Loughlin, who played Rebecca, she told Ryan Seacrest back in March:

“I don’t think it would be worth doing it. Sometimes with shows like old shows let them be and let them be remembered as they were don’t try to bring them back because it can be a disappointment.”

So who exactly wants in on this Full House reboot? According to TV Guide, Stamos is leading the way, while Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie), and Andrea Barbar (Kimmy) are interested in returning. It’s said that Saget and Dave Coulier (Joey) will be involved in some way too.

The fact that most of this news centers on the women of the cast leads us to believe that it may focus on the two eldest Tanner sisters and their grown up adventures. This lead stemmed from hoax reports but now it might be a reality. As for the Olsen twins, it’s not likely that the two will return to play the littlest Tanner daughter Michelle. In addition to not showing up for a lot of Full House reunions, the two have quit acting over careers in the fashion industry.
