Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Enjoy Cozy Date Night at CMT Music Awards
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani still seem to be enjoying their honeymoon phase after tying the knot in a private ceremony at an Oklahoma ranch in 2021. The couple looked madly in love at their recent red carpet-outing. Shelton and Stefani were on a cozy date night at the 2023 CMT Music Awards which took place in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.
The couple vibed stylishly on the red carpet, and their "head-over-heels" moment was adoringly captured by the paparazzi as they posed together. Gwen stunned in a Valentino haute couture ensemble, which was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, according to E!News. Her semi-formal outfit featured a dazzling mini skirt paired with an oversized blazer and a black tie. The Sweet Escape singer accessorized with fluffy boots over fishnet tights and Untamed Petals earrings. Her makeup was glam yet subtle, and she styled her hair in a slick bun. Makeup artist Ernesto Casillas used GXVE Beauty to create the diva's signature red lips. As for Blake, he looked dapper on the red-carpet wearing jeans paired with a blazer and his signature boots.
The lovebirds hit the red carpet with plenty of PDA moments ahead of their individual performances at the CMT Music Awards. Hollywood Life reports that Gwen couldn’t take her eyes off her handsome country music singer hubby as they posed sweetly for photos together. The amorous couple was seen cheering for each other's performances at the CMT Awards, as well. Blake went in for a solo performance, while Gwen joined Carly Pearce for a highly buzzed duet. Carly was celebrating the success of her latest single, What He Didn’t Do, which hit No. 1 on the charts the week before the CMT Awards, and Gwen joined her for the momentous occasion. Previously Carly had performed the opening act on Blake’s Back to the Honkey Tonk Tour, hence the ladies have gotten to know each other quite well.
Posting the iconic world premiere music collaboration on Instagram, CMT Music Awards captioned the video "We can’t get enough of @gwenstefani and @carlypearce’s ICONIC #CMTAwards performance of 'Just A Girl' 👏💕" Blake rendered a mesmerizing version of No Body, and CMT Music Awards captured the moment by posting a clip from his sensational onstage presence. "Nobody we’d rather kick off the 2023 #CMTAwards with than @blakeshelton and his performance of 'No Body!' 👏" The country track was nominated for the Video of the Year category, however, it missed the winner's mark during the awards function.
Speaking about her relationship, Stefani revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April 2022 that her husband has a sweet nickname for her: "Pretty Girl." She also said, "The marriage is so fun! I'm so into it, so I feel very blessed. He's my best friend. We have so much fun."
