It’s one of the Big Bang Theory’s biggest mysteries, perhaps even bigger than string theory itself: What does Howard’s mom really look like?
Aside from the ever-so horrid descriptions Wolowitz have bitterly spewed throughout the series, we practically have no idea how she looks like beside the horsey voice we hear from afar whenever she demands a foot massage from her engineer son.
However, as The Big Bang Theory approaches its finale, there is talk in the TV streets that we may actually be able to see Wolowitz’s mom in the flesh, in the last episode of the season and even in coming episodes in the following seasons. According to E! , the demanding, food-loving matriarch of the Wolowitz house may actually have her debut physical appearance in the finale .
Marta, Howard Wolowitz’s mother, will reportedly be introduced to viewers in the season 7 ender, with sources adding that her last minutes in the episode will be a pleasantly surprising treat for Big Bang Theory fans.
And the possibility of her appearing in next seasons is also likely. It was a good day for fans of Big Bang Theory when Screencrush reported that the nerd sitcom will be renewed for not one, not two but three whopping seasons . That’s three more years of the gang’s scientific insanity on the TV screen.
Aside from the Howard’s mom’s promised appearance, there are other things about Big Bang that fans are waiting for. One of them is the introduction of a new character: Kelton, a “cute-tish” tattooed guy who runs across Sheldon and Raj and becomes a significant plot point of the show.
The Big Bang Theory stars Jim Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayar as the original cast and were joined by Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik for the latter seasons. The show revolves around the daily lives of top-tier scientists working at the California Institute of Technology, where they struggle with science, geek life, and love. Jim Parson plays the popular Sheldon Cooper, a theoretical physicist known for his eccentric quirks.
Bialik, who plays neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler in the sitcom , is a scientist in real life, having graduated with a PhD in Neuroscience from University of California, Los Angeles.
Howard Wolowitz, the gang’s one and only engineer, is played by Simon Helberg. His “bromance” with astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali has been the center of numerous gags throughout the show. His mother is voiced by veteran actress Carrol Ann Susi, and is set to make her guest appearance in the finale of Big Bang Theory’s 7th season.
