There’s no doubt that Ben Affleck is having a tough time after announcing his split from wife Jennifer Garner. That said, it looks like the show must go on, as Warner Bros. just announced that Ben Affleck will make an appearance at Comic Con.
Affleck will attend to promote the upcoming film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice with cast mates Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot.
This isn’t Ben Affleck’s first time at Comic Con. The star attended last year as part of a surprise. Both Affleck and Cavill surprised the audience with footage of Batman v Superman . The two walked out to address the audience and then quickly exited as they were still filming in Detroit.
This time around, we’re betting that the actors will stick around for a Q&A panel.
The announcement from Warner Bros was worded as follows :
“Keen to deliver a taste of one of next year’s most eagerly awaited pairings, director Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill take the main stage with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. They are joined by castmates Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot for a sneak peek at the 2016 action adventure that brings the Super Heroes together on the big screen for the very first time, from Warner Bros. Pictures and RatPac-Dune Entertainment.”
While Affleck’s professional life looks like it’s on the rise, his personal life is in shambles. People magazine reported that Ben is absolutely devastated after the split from wife Jennifer Garner.
“He’s devastated. Nobody intends to go down this path. They both battled, and he really battled to try and save the marriage but ultimately it was the best thing for the kids and for him and Jen.”
A source added to People , “These are two people who really tried to save their marriage and worked really hard at it. Ultimately they had grown apart and they did what was best for their kids.”
The pair, who were married for 10 years had a 10 month trial separation, and went through two years of therapy in hopes to fix their relationship. Although the two were said to be great parents together, sources have said that the two often weren’t on the same page as a couple. Other sources point to Affleck’s soaring career as a position of contention.
Ben’s film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
