In the madness that is anything related to the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice production , it is becoming hard to keep facts away from fiction. A fan claims that the latest Lex Luthor reports are false and he is the one that “created” the storyline being reported by multiple well respected outlets, making it a big hoax.
On Wednesday, the internet was aflutter with reports that part of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman plot had been leaked by an extra working on the set in Detroit. According to the claim, the unidentified source stated that the final scene of the much talked about blockbuster has already been filmed and more importantly, this person allegedly had information about one of the villains, Lex Luthor.
The other rumor regarding the Batman v Superman plot — reported originally by Geek Tyrant and picked up by pretty much everyone — indicated that we may see Kryptonite after all, as well as some additional tidbits about… General Zod?:
“One of the scenes shot featured Batman breaking into Lexcorp to steal kryptonite, and apparently Lexcorp had somehow gotten ahold of General Zod’s body. (‘Batman V Superman’ starts) as the battle between Superman and General Zod ends — or is ending — and Batman/Bruce Wayne is attempting to make his way to the Wayne tower in Metropolis.”
Twitter user @SonofArrogance (Arrogant Alien) — a self proclaimed DC Comics fan — claims that the reports came from a script written by himself, on his phone, while on a 25-minute train journey and boasts that actually, he is the one that wrote the Lex Luthor/Kryptonite storyline:
Didn’t I write this? http://t.co/6xr2e5OxKe

Luthor creates Kryptonite from the world engine and uses Zod’s DNA to create something to defeat Superman?… Yeah I wrote that!!

I refuse to believe there rumors There is no way an Oscar winning writer would come up with the same plot I did on a 25 minute train journey

I’ve noticed this for the last month people taking the rumors I spread and re spinning them into ‘scoops’. I call BS

Not surprisingly, there has been no comment from the Zack Snyder’s camp regarding these latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reports. But once again, we are reminded that in the efforts to get all the latest information concerning the superhero mashup, we must take all rumors with the proverbial grain of salt.
What do you think about the reports that the latest Batman v Superman reports were a hoax based on a fan’s “script”?
