Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette is already shaping up to be one of the most controversial seasons in the history of the show. Not only does she admit to sleeping with Nick Viall during the show, he is one of three guys who she spends the night with her before hometown dates. [Spoilers ahead.]
There are several episodes to go before the hometown dates, and the much-anticipated overnight dates in the Fantasy Suite, but spoilers indicate that there are big changes in store for viewers this season.
In previous seasons, the Bachelorette visits the hometowns of her four remaining guys. She then picks her final three and heads somewhere exotic for the overnight dates. That’s all going to change on Kaitlyn’s season, starting with the the order of her dates.
According to Reality Steve , Kaitlyn will spend one night in the Fantasy Suite with each of her final three guys before she heads to hometowns. She will then choose her final two picks for hometown dates, but she won’t actually visit their homes – just another quirky twist in this already mixed-up season.
Reality Steve ‘s spoilers indicate that Kaitlyn’s overnight dates will take place in Ireland, where three episodes are filmed. The cast and crew arrive in Ireland for Episode 6 (airs June 22), and remain there for Episode 7 ( June 29), and for the overnight dates (July 6).
Whether or not Kaitlyn has sex with all three men – Ben Higgins, Shawn Booth , and Nick Viall – isn’t known, but one can assume that she got horizontal with at least Nick. She’s already admitted to sleeping with him in an earlier episode, so there’s no doubt that it happened again in the Fantasy Suite.
Sex, or at least safe sex, seems to be encouraged during the overnight dates, with host Chris Harrison telling the Huffington Post that the suites are stocked with “anything you need to have safe sex” and “all the tools necessary” for what one would assume is a fun night.
“I think [the contestants] have all the tools necessary. I mean, if you need more than that the first time you’re together, it’s probably not that great, right? You should be able to have fun at least the first time before you bring circus animals or whatever else you want in there.”
After the overnights, one guy is sent home ( Ben Higgins ), and the Kaitlyn’s final two picks (Shawn Booth and Nick Viall) travel to Park City, Utah, for hometown dates (July 13). Instead of visiting the guys’ homes, producers switched things up and brought the families to Utah to meet Kaitlyn.
Even this season’s finale is different, with Kaitlyn, Nick, and Shawn heading back to L.A. for the final rose ceremony in the Bachelor Mansion. Did producers have a small budget for this season of the Bachelorette , or did they know that it didn’t matter where the shocking ending took place?
