Fans have been quite anxious to see who ABC’s The Bachelorette 2015 lead will be, and the answer is supposedly coming Monday night during Chris Soules’ Bachelor finale. Sources had indicated that Kaitlyn Bristowe had signed the deal, leaving many Britt Nilsson fans disappointed. Now, however, there’s some buzz that indeed the final decision may not be made yet.
Show creator Mike Fleiss just teased that a decision was still in the works, even though Kaitlyn Bristowe was spotted with a film crew in Los Angeles just days ahead of the announcement. Reality Steve’s spoilers note, however, that on the heels of that, Britt Nilsson was spotted with the same film crew in the same area. That definitely makes many wonder just what’s up.
Britt had been the frontrunner for the Bachelorette 2015 gig through much of Soules’ Bachelor season, but Kaitlyn support seemed to shift the decision. Now, however, Reality Steve’s spoilers indicate that the show may go in an interesting decision that they’ve never done with the lead ladies before. Could they both get a shot at handing out roses?
Steve says that as both Britt and Kaitlyn were seen filming in Los Angeles, he heard a rumor that both ladies may get to go through the first night of filming. However, Steve also says that he was then told the rumors weren’t true. At this point, he notes, he’s not even sure quite what’s up. Given that, there may well be a big shocker on Monday’s “After the Final Rose” special as those with the show have teased.
As many Bachelor fans will remember, and Reality Steve notes, there was one season where there were two guys vying for roses from the 25 ladies on the first night of filming. It was Byron versus Jay, and whichever guy had the most roses at the end of the night got to stay with the show as the other guy went home. Byron ended up being the guy who got to continue with the show.
Many have clamored for the show to try this again, and now it seems the buzz is building that they just might give it a go with Season 11 of The Bachelorette this spring. Many would say that if ever there was a season to do it, this would be the one. Both Britt and Kaitlyn have had passionate fan bases rallying for them to get the gig, and this would stir up a lot of buzz and anticipation for the spring season.
As Steve points out, there is one big difference that would factor into this season versus the one with Byron and Jay: social media. There is simply no way that it would stay hidden until the premiere date whether it was Kaitlyn or Britt who got to continue, because too many people see the show filming in various locations. That said, many viewers stay away from spoilers and even if the news is out ahead of time, it is a twist that will get a lot of play for ABC.
Now E! Online shares some Bachelorette spoiler dish that appears to reinforce the swirling rumors. Their sources indicate that the show is doing something non-traditional in Season 11 in an effort to bring the ratings in after a lower-than-anticipated season of ratings from Andi Dorfman’s season.
The site’s insider says that they are “shaking things up” and they’re “making some cool changes without changing too much.” It seems the fact that it’s been such a close call between Britt and Kaitlyn may have played a role as well, and the site even teases that there could be two ladies on this next season just as many are beginning to speculate.
One way or another, it would appear that fans will definitively know more come Monday night’s “After the Final Rose” special. There’s speculation that perhaps even Kaitlyn and Britt don’t know for certain what is happening with this coming season, as both are posting things on social media that would make it seem that this isn’t a done deal after all. It may well be that there will only be one lady as the lead after all, but things don’t seem to be nearly as settled on one as sources had previously been indicating.
Will ABC’s The Bachelorette 2015 season feature both Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson? Tune in to Chris Soules’ Bachelor finale airing on Monday, March 9, to see just what happens.
