Bachelor Chris Soules can’t seem to leave the reality television cameras behind as he has now signed up for another show. Just a couple of weeks after confirming his split with former fiancee Whitney Bischoff, reports indicate that Chris is leaving his farm in Iowa to film another venture. What’s the scoop?
Chris Soules first appeared on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette last spring, did The Bachelor after that, and laced up his dancing shoes for a spin on Dancing With the Stars this past spring. Though Chris and Whitney Bischoff had said they were looking forward to putting the cameras behind them and building a life together on his Arlington farm, things didn’t head in that direction. Very soon after finishing DWTS , Chris and Whitney announced they had split.
Though Soules and Bischoff have not shared the reasons behind their split, a lot of rumors swirled that Chris was quite taken with the celebrity life and not quite so interested in getting married and making babies on the farm as he’d indicated during his Bachelorette and Bachelor seasons. Now that he’s signed up for his fourth reality TV show in about 16 months, fans may have to wonder a bit.
Reality Steve had said again and again that Chris was never going to marry anybody from the show and that Soules wasn’t quite the aw-shucks farm boy he’d been putting forth. When the announcement was made that Soules and Bischoff ended their engagement, Steve tweeted that absolutely nobody should be surprised by the split. Steve had already predicted that the Bachelor couple would split before Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Bachelorette finale, and he was right.
According to Entertainment Weekly , Soules is now filming Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition for Food Network. Production is already in process and the show will be hosted by Rachael Ray and Anne Burrell. The show will premiere in the fall.
The cast also includes Kendra Wilkinson, who has done a fair amount of reality TV herself over the years, and former Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWOWW” Farley. Superman star Dean Cain will be doing some cooking, as will Brady Bunch star Barry Williams, Family Matters and Dancing With the Stars contestant Jaleel White, and Ellen Cleghorne from Saturday Night Live, Coyote Ugly and Armageddon.
How will fans react to the news that Chris Soules is headed back to reality TV? Will his 15 minutes of fame continue or will there be some Bachelor backlash? Everybody will find out this fall when his latest show debuts. Not surprisingly, Whitney Bischoff has yet to comment on the news.
The winner of Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition will score $50,000 for their charity of choice. Will Chris Soules score the title, or will it be someone like Kendra Wilkinson, JWOWW or the former Greg Brady?
