Ariana Grande Tweets About Celebrities, Gets Annoyed With Herself

Ariana Grande apparently has a lot to say about how celebrities are frequently perceived by the public and how they perceive themselves on social media.

After letting her fans know about a new episode of Sam & Cat , the singer decided to discuss how people think they know celebrities based on what they post on Twitter, Facebook, and the like. It didn’t take long for things to get a little philosophical.

“It’s bizarre how we think we know each other based upon what we post online. I just read my tweets pretending I didn’t know me and got annoyed,” Ariana Grande wrote on January 4 .

The singer and actress continued, “We post and think it’s a good representation of who we are but there’s so much more to us. We think we know each other but we don’t. It’s weird.”

Judging from her comments, this is something that Grande thinks about from time to time. After reading an interview she did back in September, Ariana was quite shocked by the words that had popped out of her mouth. This lead her to question how celebrities perceive themselves when speaking to the publications and posting random things online.

“For example, some people think I’m like Cat and they’re shocked when they meet me and I’m actually not demented and my voice isn’t strange and high,” the singer wrote.

Grande added, “Or like some people think that I’m like a 12-year-old girl but I’m actually just an 80-year-old lady with the mouth of a sailor.”

Ariana previously told Cosmopolitan magazine that she isn’t like other girls her age. Instead of partying into the wee hours of the morning, she likes to hit at home in her pajamas watching movies and listening to music by Barbra Streisand.

“I think I’m an old soul. What excites younger people doesn’t excite me… I’m kind of a boring, normal girl who likes Harry Potter and to sit in her pajamas and sing. A lot of my friends are partiers, but I’ve never really clicked with that,” Ariana Grande explained.

She added, “I’ve dealt with a lot of people not knowing what to expect from me because of my age and my personality. People often mistake my kindness for weakness, and they didn’t expect much from me, because at the end of the day, I’m just a nice Italian girl from Boca.”
