Ariana Grande Clears Up Yet More Selfie Speculation, ‘Y’all Need Jesus’ [Video]

Ariana Grande set off a heap of speculation last Thursday when she posted an Instagram selfie, and folks got all excited about a not quite clear item lying on the floor in the left hand corner of the picture.

To cut to it, rumors flew that it was a dildo .

The ripe talk was also due to in part to Grande’s selfie outfit, which was Britney Spears’ schoolgirl meets Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Secretary.

Could it be, they asked? Was it really, some trilled? Is it, others snickered? They were all wrong.

The Yours Truly songstress, no stranger to selfie drama thanks to a certain Canadian superstar, clarified matters in a follow-up Instavid posted on Friday.

Captioned “Regarding my last insta pic lol,” in the video a baggily dressed Ariana giggled as she filmed the floor so viewers could that the mysterious item wasn’t a dildo, but a power point.

The video ended with the 20-year-old screaming “Y’all need Jesus!,” which may well be true.

Meanwhile in other Grande news, the little lady with the big voice recently placed #4 on Billboard’s annual 21 Under 21: Music’s Hottest Minors 2013 list. Ahead of her in ascending order were Miley Cyrus at #3, Justin Bieber at #2, with One Direction topping the count.

Ariana and The Wanted member Nathan Sykes finally confirmed their coupledom on Twitter following weeks of rumors that the cuties got together while recording and filming their “Almost is Never Enough” music video.

The pair were also recently snapped on a date at Disneyland.

Nathan gushed first, writing, “So, I guess it’s obvious now … thanks to everyone who is being so lovely. I’m so happy ) #butweareterrified #pleasedontkillme #orariana.”

His outed girlfriend added, “We hesitated saying anything as people can be a bit insensitive but thank u? we value all of your happiness, thank you for valuing ours ).”

Career-wise Grande is riding high after topping the Billboard 200 album and multiple iTunes charts with her debut LP, while garnering glowing reviews and recently wrapping her The Listening Sessions tour.

On Friday, “The Way” starlet tweeted that she has returned to the studio with faves Leon Thomas and Khris Riddick-Tynes, the other half of their production-writing team The Rascals. Between the pair they co-wrote four songs on Yours Truly.

Ariana’s manager, Scooter Braun, previously revealed her sophomore record will touch down in early 2014.
