Angelina Jolie Grateful For Brad Pitt’s Love And Support

Angelina Jolie is again facing the risk of cancer and, just as she did in 2013, when she’d had that double mastectomy, Angelina is again finding comfort in her relationship with husband Brad Pitt . As soon as Mr. Pitt learned of Angelina’s latest cancer scare and the possibility of a surgery, Brad hopped on a plane, cutting short a trip to France, to return home.

“We’ve been through so much. We’ve gotten a lot closer, which I think naturally happens with raising a family together. You have history…You have this person who really knows you, and you know them so well. You’re not lovers or boyfriend and girlfriend as much as you are a family.”

Brad expresses much the same feelings, when he speaks of his wife and children. Thinking back to Jolie’s double mastectomy in 2013, Mr. Pitt describes the period following the operation as “an emotional and beautifully inspiring few months.” Brad speaks of his dedication to her and says that, whatever potential damage the risk of cancer may do, it can never rob them of their love.

It isn’t just in times of tragedy that Brad and Angelina can be seen making the most of every moment. Pitt, Jolie, and children are often spotted out at child-friendly restaurants, including Cafe 50s, where shakes and burgers are the standard fare.

“When the family is in L.A., the kids have their schedules with studies and sport activities, including soccer, but Brad and Angie always plan fun outings for the kids, too,” a family source told People magazine.

Professionally, Brad and Angelina sometimes work together, as they have been in By The Sea , an upcoming drama written and directed by Ms. Jolie herself. Even when Ms. Jolie is off working on her own projects, filmmaking and humanitarian alike, and far from Mr. Pitt’s attentions, she never forgets just how much she relies on his love. Nor does she take for granted the devotion between them.

“At 20, we’re all looking for Prince Charming, the big handsome hunk, only we’re generally disappointed because of his instability. At 40, you know what you want: a real man.”

Ms. Jolie wrote of her relationship with Brad and of Mr. Pitt’s support in an op-ed she wrote just following her double mastectomy, stressing just how important the love of a partner is to someone going through any of life’s trials. Pitt was with Angelina every step of the way during that first cancer scare, as he has been throughout her more recent decision to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed . Even when Angelina received the news of possible cancer and an operation that would leave her unable to ever bear children again, Brad’s love and support gave her the strength to make the tough decisions.

“The beautiful thing about such moments in life is that there is so much clarity. You know what you live for and what matters. It is polarizing, and it is peaceful,” Angelina said.
