Andy Cohen would love to have the original cast return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey . Although there are still a couple of wives from season one left on the show, Cohen recently spoke of his interest in bringing back all of the women for a new season.

During a Watch What Happens Live Clubhouse Special , Cohen spoke of his “fantasy” cast, which would consist of Caroline Manzo, Dina Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita “together on Jersey Housewives.” According to an Oct. 13 report by Wetpaint Entertainment , Cohen even said he’d be happy to welcome back Danielle Staub.

In addition to the Manzos, Laurita and Staub, Teresa Giudice was a part of the first installment of the show. However, after just two seasons, both Staub and Dina Manzo left the series, and Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile stepped in as their replacements. Then, after season five, Laurita and Caroline Manzo left.

While Dina Manzo and Laurita have since returned, Andy Cohen isn’t quite happy with the show as is, and who can blame him? Throughout season six, ratings on the series have continued to drop. In fact, they were on a steady decline until Laurita returned to the show. Perhaps Cohen saw the trend and thought bringing more former Housewives back to the series would be a good thing for the network.

Also during his WWHL special, Cohen spoke about Manzo’s decision to move on from the series, which The Inquisitr reported may have been because of Penny Drossos’ affair claims regarding her husband, Albert Manzo.

“I always miss you,” Cohen told Manzo. “You had been making noise for a few years about not wanting to come back. And so it seemed like the logical time, we all felt, that we would do something else with you.” In response, Manzo told Cohen she was “happy to be off.”

In other Andy Cohen news, the Real Housewives creator recently spoke out about Porsha Williams’ demotion from The Real Housewives of Atlanta . On Oct. 11, The Inquisitr reported Cohen had denied the downgrade was because of Williams’ reunion altercation with Kenya Moore.

“It had nothing to do with anything that happened at the reunion last season,” Cohen said, according to The New Pittsburgh Courier . “Really, it was about the amount of story we got from Porsha this season. We went into it assuming she would be a full housewife, holding a peach. We just haven’t gotten enough to merit that. She’s going to be in it a lot. We love her. I hope she’ll be on Bravo endlessly.”
