American Horror Story Season 6 might see more than just the return of Emma Roberts next year now that there is the real possibility that the show could be crossing over in some capacity with Ryan Murphy’s other show. Roberts was on hand at Comic-Con in San Diego this year, and she had some cryptic, yet exciting, statements that she made about coming back to American Horror Story on Season 6.
If there is one thing that American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy loves to do, that is tease his fans with the some of the most alluring and grotesque ideas that the business has to offer. The true essence of American Horror Story is not just about the glamour and allure of modern popular culture, but to also combine that with a certain amount of the grotesque and macabre that only his show can pull off, which also seems to be the same thing he is trying to accomplish on Scream Queens with the added bonus of comedy.

So if Emma Roberts were to return to American Horror Story in Season 6 of the show, there would have to be an arc so big, a theme so expansive, and an entrance so explosive that only she can pull it off. What is even more exciting is that she could pull it off as a certain character, namely Chanel Oberlin of Scream Queens.
Fans of American Horror Story should know that at this point, this is only a tease and nothing has been officially announced. But this is also not the first time this year that Emma Roberts has teased her return to American Horror Story , which she started her short run on the show in Season 3, the Coven installment. That also happens to be the first season that Kathy Bates started her infamous run on the show, and they both shined with perfection.

There has been no word yet if Kathy Bates would be returning to Season 6 of American Horror Story , but Emma Roberts let a few cats out of the bag at Comic-Con this year while she was participating in the Scream Queens panel, according to Us Weekly . As a matter of fact, Emma Roberts might have shown a little too much enthusiasm for returning to American Horror Story , which leads us to believe that she has a bombshell of a secret that she is just dying to let out of her.
Emma Roberts was talking to her Scream Queens fans audience when she started to speak about the possibility of her returning to American Horror Story for the highly anticipated Season 6 of the popular horror anthology show on FX. She started to say something, then seemed to backtrack, possibly realizing that she was letting too much information out there before she was allowed to.
“I think that there might be — I was going to last season,” Emma Roberts told the Scream Queens crowd about returning to American Horror Story for Season 6. “I would love to go back and do a few episodes.”
Emma Roberts was last seen on American Horror Story in Season 4, Freak Show . She did not return last year, presumably so that she could headline Scream Queens for its freshman run on Fox. Ryan Murphy replaced her and Jessica Lange’s star power on American Horror Story with the superstar power of Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel . There have been mixed reactions to Season 5, with some people loving it while others despised it, presumably because Jessica Lange was not in it for the first time in four years.

American Horror Story returns to FX on September 14 this year. The true theme for Season 6 has not yet been revealed, but it has been ordered for a shortened 10-episode run, which lends credence to the much-rumored theory that there will be two seasons of American Horror Story this year, one in the fall and one in the spring.
