American Horror Story Hotel: Helena Mattsson Joins The Cast In Super Secret Role

Fans of the American Horror Story franchise are getting excited in the lead up to the latest series entitled American Horror Story: Hotel . News has just come in that there is another cast member to add to this season’s line up. Actress Helena Mattsson has been cast in a currently unknown role.

Helena Mattsson is known for her roles in Mistresses, Fargo, and 666 Park Avenue . While most of her recent tweets have been about her upcoming role in The Loner , she recently posted an Instagram image that fed through to her Twitter account.

While Helena Mattsson role seems to be a closely guarded secret at the moment, Carter Matt suggested her character could meet up with some characters from previous series of American Horror Story since creator Ryan Murphy went on record and stated “characters from previous seasons will come back and check into the hotel.”

According to Helena Marksson’s IMDb profile , the character she will be playing in American Horror Story: Hotel does have a name already: Agnetha. She will star in only one episode so far; episode 1 (entitled Checking In ). While this may seem ominous about the longevity of Helena Mattsson’s role, currently only information for episode 1 has been released in order to maintain some secrecy about the show, which will premiere in October of this year. Also, filming for American Horror Story has only just commenced this month .

Also starring in the fifth season of American Horror Story will be: Sarah Paulson (as hypodermic Sally), Angela Bassett (Ramona), Kathy Bates (Iris), Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer (Donovan), Lady Gaga, Max Greenfield, Cheyenne Jackson, Andy Martinez Jr. (Officer Romero), Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters Evan Peters (Mr. March), Chloë Sevigny, and Finn Wittrock.

Ryan Murphy provided the synopsis for American Horror Story: Hotel.

“It’s based in the hotel in horror movies and horror tropes. We’ve researched several real-live hotels in downtown LA where absolutely horrifying things happened… When you check into a hotel, there are certain things beyond your control. Other people have the keys to your room; they can come in there. You’re not exactly safe, it’s a very unsettling idea.”

American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere in October on FX.
