Amber Portwood and her fiance, Matthew Baier, are planning to wed later this year, and during a Teen Mom OG: Featured Moment , the reality star spoke of her dream wedding. Although Amber Portwood has yet to reveal an official wedding date, she dished on the upcoming ceremony and her plans for her Teen Mom OG co-stars during the June 4 interview with MTV.
“My dream wedding, I know for sure, my cousin Krystal would be the maid of honor at the wedding because she’s the closest person to me. She’s like my best friend. And of course I want all the Teen Moms , all the girls, I want them to be my bridesmaids. I mean, they have to be a part of it.”
Amber Portwood has appeared on MTV for the last several years, but her latest stint on the network in its Teen Mom reboot, Teen Mom OG , she has shown fans a different side of the reality star. In 2012, when the fourth season of Teen Mom wrapped, Amber Portwood was seen admitting her drug addiction was too much to kick on the streets and entering prison to serve a five-year term. Prior to doing so, Portwood often feuded with Gary Shirley, her daughter’s father, and at times, their fights were physical.
These days, however, as fans of Teen Mom OG witnessed, Amber Portwood is in a much better place. Although the reality star has started drinking again, she’s refrained from using drugs and continues to focus on her education and her daughter.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Amber Portwood’s current fiance, Baier, helped her get over Shirley , who she initially thought she’d get back with when she was released from prison in November 2013. During an interview with OK! Magazine in late March, Portwood revealed the following in regard to her love life.
“I think [Matt] helped me get completely over him. It was months before that though that I actually made the decision to not want to have the relationship with Gary anymore. It was just really hard to move forward with somebody and trust another man and actually feel like I can love another person. I never thought I’d find somebody that I loved more than Gary, and obviously I was wrong. I love this man more than anything.”
