Alien UFO, ET Disclosure: Group Petitions White House To Support Open Congressional Hearings

The ET and UFO advocacy group Paradigm Research Group (PRG) has petitioned the White House through the “We the People” website to support the call for congressional hearings on the evidence for UFOs, and the presence of extraterrestrial life on Earth.

The petition is the latest move by PRG in its long-drawn-out campaign to force the U.S. government to officially acknowledge the presence of extraterrestrials (ET) “engaging the human race.”

In a release by PRG’s executive director Stephen G. Bassett dated Jan. 7, the group announced its latest and seventh “We the People” petition to the White House.

The group’s first ever petition, filed in Sept. 2011, had received about 12,000 signatures, more than the 5,000 signatures required at the time. The initial petition asked the White House to “formally acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race” and support open congressional hearings on the matter.

The White House had responded to the Sept 11, 2011 petition, denying that it had any knowledge or evidence of ETs and UFOs on Earth or that life exists outside the planet Earth.

“The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye.”

But as Open Minds notes, PRG was not satisfied with the U.S. government’s response to its first petition and continues to campaign for official recognition of ET and UFO presence on Earth.

The latest effort by PRG to pressure the White House to consider supporting congressional hearings on UFOs and ETs follows the group’s completion of an event called the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure (CHD) that ran from April 29 to May 3, 2013.

During the event, organized as a mock-congressional hearing, former members of Congress listened to testimonies from former top ranking military officers, government officials and researchers about “events and evidence indicating an extraterrestrial presence ” on Earth. The witnesses presented over 30 hours of evidence consisting of their first-hand knowledge of incidents related to UFOs, ET and alien life presence on Earth.

The witnesses called on the U.S. government to allow open hearings and public access to all relevant files on UFO and ET phenomena.

Following the CHD hearings, PRG, according to Open Minds , began the next phase of its campaign, called the Citizen Hearing Initiative (CHI), by sending out to all members of Congress DVDs of the testimonies presented at the CHD hearings. The group also embarked on an intensive social media campaign, calling on supporters to post messages to their social media pages and send emails to representatives, asking them to support the cause.

The executive director of PRG, Stephen Basset, insists that the “irrefutable witness testimony” and the “magnitude of the evidence” contained in the DVD coverage of the CHD hearings compel the White House to consider open congressional hearings so the American people can hear the truth about ETs and UFOs.

According to PRG, the evidence challenges the White House assertion in response to the Sept. 2011 petition “that this phenomenon and the entire matter of an ET presence do not exist.”

Bassett urged members of Congress to look at the CHD DVDs and open the way for what PRG described as “an open dialogue about the ET question and interspecies ethics.”

“The message [to Congress] will be the same: open and review the Citizen Hearing DVD sets, meet with PRG’s lobbyist to discuss the content, and hold hearings for military, agency and political witnesses to testify.”

Basset said that PRG is relying on Americans to sign the petition as a way of asserting their “rights to know about their place in the cosmos.”

Having received the 150 signatures needed to gain visibility on the “We the People” website, the petition needs 100,000 signatures before February 6, 2015 to require an official response from the White House and keep the petition on the “We the People” website for the rest of President Barack Obama’s term in office.
