Singing sensation Adele is looking to recover from throat surgery and make her sensational comeback at the Grammys. Adele had throat microsurgery last November to stop “bleeding from a benign polyp”, but now has six Grammy nominations to look forward to next month, including Record Of The Year for Rolling In The Deep.
In speaking about the Grammys, Adele said:
“It’s an absolute honour to be included in such a night and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all.”
She also Tweeted this afternoon:
“Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It’s been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can’t wait, speak soon xx”
In October, Adele announced that she would cancel all gigs in order to solve her problem. Adele has broken all sort of records in the US, including: her album 21 being the biggest seller of 2011, selling 5.8 million copies, and the track Rolling In The Deep also selling 5.8m. Her album, 21, topped the Billboard 200 album chart for the 17th week last week, an incredible achievement in itself.
Adele won’t be the only star performing at the Grammys this year. Rihanna will also be there, perform alongside Colplay in what is guaranteed to be a sizzling show. Also performing will be all-time legend Sir Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
