The 2016 ACM Awards will take place on April 3, and country music fans are anxiously waiting to find out who will take home this year’s awards.
As The Inquisitr previously reported, Chris Stapleton is currently leading the nominations with seven – 2 nominations for Song of the Year (one as artist, one as songwriter) for “Nobody to Blame,” Male Vocalist of the Year, New Male Vocalist of the Year, two for Album of the Year for Traveller (as artist, and as producer), and Vocal Event of the Year for “Hangover Tonight” with Gary Allan. This marks the first time ever Stapelton has been nominated for an ACM Award as an artist.
Country music newcomer Cam was nominated for six ACM Awards, her first ever. Cam’s nominations include: two (as artist, and songwriter) for Song of the Year for her hit “Burning House,” New Female Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year for “Burning House,” and is nominated twice (as artist, and as producer) for Single Record of the Year for “Burning House.”

Not only was Cam nominated for six ACM Awards, she will also be performing during the awards ceremony. Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Florida Georgia Line will also be taking the stage.
