House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) thinks that the idea of Mitt Romney being president is a little ridiculous.
In an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, Pelosi said that it no one really believes that Romney will beat President Obama in the 2012 election.
“Oh, Mitt Romney’s not going to be president of the United States… I think everybody knows that.”
But that, according to Pelosi, isn’t necessarily good news for the country. The House Minority Leader said that if President Obama wins then the political gridlock will continue for the next four years.
Pelosi said:
“You’ll see more of the same… It’s really important for the public to know that the Republican obstruction of President Obama’s jobs bills and whatever he was advancing, is their — obstruction is their agenda.”
In June, Obama told the public that he hopes the political gridlock to end in 2012. Obama said that he hopes Republicans will come to their senses in 2012 to help the country move forward.
Obama said:
“I believe that if we’re successful in this election, when we’re successful in this election, that the fever may break, because there’s a tradition in the Republican Party of more common sense than that.”
Do you think Mitt Romney has a chance at the presidency? Do you think the next four years will be any different if President Obama wins in November?
