A 68-year-old Walgreens customer suffered a broken jaw and bleeding in the brain after he was allegedly assaulted just outside the front entrance of the Dania Beach, Florida, pharmacy on July 4.
The victim, identified by local media as Anthony DePaul, is listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit at a local Broward County hospital.
Witnesses at Walgreens called 911 but the suspect, who was accompanied by a young child at the time of the violent encounter, is still at large after leaving the scene in what is believed to be a red, two-door sedan.
“Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies said it appears that the attacker told the boy to step to the side before he punched the victim several times, knocking him to the ground,” WSVN , Local10 News, reported .
Authorities are requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Any informations should be directed to Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org with the possibility of a reward.

Cops think that the violent altercation may have been the result of a dispute over a parking space in which the two men briefly exchanged words before multiple punches were unleashed by the suspect.
“He’s got damage to his brain stem, frontal lobs, brain bleeding, skull fracture,” DePaul’s son told NBC6 Miami. The senior is reportedly on a ventilator in the ICU.

In a wholly separate incident that occurred outside Walgreens and CVS stores in Grandview, Missouri, two women allegedly stalked customers in the parking lot. The duo, whom cops say are in their late teens or early 20s, sprayed several victims with pepper spray in an attempt to engage in purse snatching, Fox4KC reported . The suspects, who are still at large, were apparently photographed by a security camera inside the stores. Law enforcement authorities are requesting help in an apprehension through the Crime Stoppers Greater Kansas City TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
In the Richmond, Virginia, area, a six-hour standoff inside a Walgreens store with a gunman ended with the suspect shooting himself in a possible suicide, according to Henrico County Police. No one other than the deceased suspect was harmed in the incident, WRIC reported . None of the responding officers at the scene used their weapons.
