Clash of Clans aficionados have been clamoring for a new update for the past few weeks. While most of them expected the update to be release in September, it was delayed deep into October. However, the much-awaited October Clash of Clans update might finally be out.

According to a post on Clash of Clans’ official Twitter account, maintenance for the mobile MMO strategy video game is over, and the update is now live. However, there is still some bad news since some of the players are experiencing issues with Special Packages. The game developer has promised to investigate the problem and fix it as soon as possible.

Supercell previous gave players a full week of epic sneak peeks and an October 9 livestream that featured many of the new features in the update. The ultimate update release has been triggered by fans who took to the Clash of Clans official forum on October 4, hoping to receive a precise answer from the developer about the October update. The only information they received then was from Supercell team member Anoushka, who confirmed that the update would not arrive on October 11 as previously expected.

Further indication that Clash of Clans’ October update has been released is based on the statement given by a Clash of Clans forum moderator on Wednesday, October 12. According to the moderator, the much-anticipated October update is out. For those who do not know what the update brings to the game, below is a roundup of everything Supercell revealed through the sneak peeks.

Supercell released sneak peeks that hinted at new troop levels and defense structures. Most of the new troops will be concentrated on Town Hall Level 11. The new troops include wizard level 7, hidden tesla level 9, baby dragon level 5, mortar level 10, dragon level 6, x-bow level 5, and 25 more wall pieces.

Similarly, there is a new bomb tower for players at Town Hall 8, and they can be upgraded to level 5. For those dedicated gamers, as soon as one hits Town Hall 10, he or she will have an option to create an extra bomb tower.

Several troops are also set to see balance changes to help in keeping the gameplay “fun and interesting.” Apart from the balance changes, some of the troops will get upgrade discounts in terms of time and cost. Players will only discover the exact discount in the process of playing the game.

In the released October update, Clan Wars have received an upgrade, which allows players to earn a partial War Win Bonus whether or not their attack will fail. It is important to note that the War Win Bonuses will no longer be reduced when a player attacks a lower Town Hall level.

Meanwhile, more difficult targets in the war will give players more Clan XP with a cap of 10XP. Changes to the Clan Wars are meant to reduce the downsides of more ambitious war attacks while providing better rewards for clean-up attacks, according to Clash Of Clans official blog .

There will also be a new friendly war feature, which allows players to send challenges through opponent Clan Profiles. Players can accept friendly war challenges through the Clan chat. It is also possible for gamers to disable challenges in Friendly War Clan settings for those not willing to take part.

Additionally, a Friendly War issuer can create custom war durations to be as short as one hour, with the liberty to decide on the size as well. The Friendly Wars are only meant for fun, and therefore gamers should not expect any rewards. Stay tuned for more information on Clash of Clans October update.
