Good news for fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac . On Thursday, Bravo officially announced that the show has been renewed for a second season . The big question now is which of the women will return for another season. Will the Season 1 cast of Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, Katie Rost, and Charrisse Jordan remain intact or will one or two of the women be dropped for new faces?
Some of the current cast members have reacted to the renewal news. Gizelle tweeted a link to the official announcement and made clear that she’s happy about it by including a winking tongue-out emoji .
Awwww shucks! Looks like it’s official…? #RHOP ? https://t.co/4nRQfe3tWI

Does the fact that Gizelle, Robyn, and Ashley all publicly celebrated the news of the show’s renewal mean that they have received contracts for the second season? What about Karen, Katie, and Charrisse? So far, those women have remained silent on the renewal news.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr , in an Ask Andy segment last March, Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen, while speaking about the fates of Stassi Schroeder on Vanderpump Rules and Brandi Glanville on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , revealed when decisions regarding cast members are made.
“We don’t make any decisions about what’s happening with people until the season is well over.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac are in the middle of its reunion show airing. Part 1 of the reunion show aired last Sunday. During that reunion episode, Katie Rost got into a heated argument regarding race with Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon. Karen Huger addressed the charge, from both her co-stars and viewers, that she isn’t as wonderful and high in society as she thinks she is. Ashley Darby defended her hostessing, her husband, and her general behavior. Robyn Dixon also talked about her unusual relationship with her ex-husband.
What will viewers see on the upcoming Part 2 of the reunion show? Bravo’s press release revealed that Katie will go into detail about what happened with her and Andrew Martin. Katie got engaged to Andrew on the season finale episode but tearfully revealed on Part 1 of the reunion show that they recently got into a fight and she returned her engagement ring. Also, on Part 2, Karen’s husband, Ray, and Ashley’s husband, Michael, join the set to talk about Michael’s unwelcome surprise visit during the girls’ trip. Michael will also address his infamous butt grab of Andrew. Other topics that will be discussed on Part 2 is the state of Charrisse Jordan’s marriage.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , after Part 1 aired last week, Katie revealed that she has her engagement ring back . She remained ambiguous on whether she’s actually still engaged to Andrew.
Bravo’s official press release also revealed that Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Potomac , starring Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, Katie Rost, and Charrisse Jordan, averaged 2.1 total million viewers, putting it in the same league as Bravo’s hit shows The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules .
Yet it seems that there are plenty of viewers who don’t think that a second season should happen. A Bravo public relations tweet announcing the news received mostly negative comments. People expressed shock that the show was renewed. They declared the first season “horrible,” “horrid,” and a “waste of time.” One person even asked if the renewal news is a very late April Fools’ joke.
