Memorial Day is a day to bring forth honor, remembrance, and respect to those who have given their lives while serving their country. It’s also a day that brings many families together for picnics, cookouts, shopping, and much more. If you have a day off of work this upcoming Monday and are putting plans in order, you’ll need to know what is open, what is closed, and what hours are in place for everything and everywhere.
Believe it or not, there are many people who don’t even realize their offices are closed and that they have Memorial Day off of work. Check with your boss and don’t make the mistake of going into work if you don’t need to.
Don’t let things catch you off-guard by heading out on Monday and noticing that you can’t drop off a package or pick up your mail. Some people don’t have plans for a get-together on Memorial Day 2016 and will use the off day to run errands, but you may not be able to do all of those you hope to accomplish.

Please remember that all USPS locations will be closed, so don’t waste your time trying to head in and ship anything out.
However, some outside portions of USPS locations with post office boxes may still be open and accessible.
