According to BBC News , the newborn fraternal twins were born early on June 6 and parents Amal and George are ecstatic to tell everyone about it.

“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine.”

The couple revealed the news in a statement delivered by George’s publicist Stan Rosenfield who later joked about the matter, saying: “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”

Ramzi Alamuddin, Amal’s father who currently resides in Beirut, added that both mother and children are in great condition.

“They are in great health, all is perfect. I am very happy for them, they will be great parents,” he said to AFP per BBC .

Meanwhile, Amal’s mother Baria who joined her in the hospital also expressed her excitement and happiness for the joyous moment that is the birth of Amal and George Clooney’s twins.

“We are over the moon. It was a beautiful delivery. The babies are beautiful and are doing well.”

The A-list actor and his human rights lawyer wife received congratulatory messages from several celebrities through social media, with most of them welcoming Ella and Alexander to the world.

Aside from well-wishes and congratulations, most social media reactions about the birth of the twins note how “normal” their names are.

On top of that, people are beginning to wonder whether Amal and George Clooney’s twins will be raised celebrity-like or would the new parents make them experience normal life—if that’s even possible.

What we do know for sure is how the 56-year-old actor expects the new chapter of his life as “an adventure.” He said as much in February during an interview with Laurent Weil on Rencontres de Cinema, his French program, as reported by People .

“We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure. We’ve sort of embraced it all… with arms wide open.”

While they were given “normal” names as social media users put it, there is a good chance that Amal and George Clooney’s twins will not live a life similar to a regular person’s not only because of their parentage but also because their parents seem to be eager to make the future bright for them.

After all, Ella and Alexander did get the best from the very beginning, being born in a luxury suite at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital that costs £8,000 or approximately $9,000 per night, no less.

According to The Sun, the suites where Amal gave birth has extra full size beds for the patient and her partner to get comfortable in while enjoying widescreen television and an expensive breakfast.

Amal also got a one-on-one care 24 hours a day since checking in to the facility and had even been under the expert hands of a team which include Guy Thorpe-Beeston, the surgeon-gynaecologist that delivered Princess Charlotte with Alan Farthing.
