That latest character poster for director and co-writer Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 finds Ben Kingsley striking a pose as The Mandarin.

Marvel Studios has done a fantastic job of keeping Tony Stark’s adversary a mystery. Although most fans know that The Mandarin is one of Iron Man’s toughest foes, not much has been revealed about the character for the film. In fact, the one-sheet you see embedded below is really the first good look at Kingsley the studio has released.

For Iron Man 3 , Black and company decided to give The Mandarin a bit of a modern face-lift. Instead of the long flowing robes, Kingsley’s look is more more grounded and believable. Although his appearance may have changed a bit from the comics, chances are he’s still a force to be reckoned with in the sequel.

In order to prepare everyone on the planet for Iron Man 3 , Marvel has been slowly releasing a series of character posters online. In addition to Guy Pearce , the studio also dropped a one-sheet featuring Don Cheadle as the Iron Patriot .

Here’s how Marvel describes the upcoming sequel:

“‘Iron Man 3? pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark-Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?”

The one-sheet featuring The Mandarin has been included below.

Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Dale Badge, Jon Favreau, and Ashley Hamilton. Shane Black’s highly-anticipated sequel arrives on May 3.
