The Amazing Spider-Man 2 started production at the beginning of February. In an effort to keep fans of the franchise engaged, director Marc Webb has been sharing photos with his legion of Twitter followers.
Although the filmmaker has posted some interesting behind-the-scenes photos, fans were in for a surprise when Webb decided to share a quick video featuring Spider-Man’s costume.
According to Digital Spy , the director’s recent post directed fans to a video which shows glimpses of the costume’s silver eye. Since the clip doesn’t linger on the image for very long, several websites have posted screen captures in order to give fans a better look. You can find all of these goodies embedded below.
Although Webb has been quick to share a few behind-the-scenes images with fans, he has remained very tight-lipped about recent Amazing Spider-Man 2 villain rumors. Although Jamie Foxx is already on-board to play Electro, The Hollywood Reporter suggested that actor Paul Giamatti is in talks to tackle the role of The Rhino.
The actor told Collider back in 2011:
“I thought Rhino was the greatest thing when I was a little kid. It was a guy who was basically in this rhinoceros outfit, and I always thought, ‘Why don’t they have The Rhino in one of their movies.’ But maybe The Rhino wasn’t that big of a deal for anybody but me. If they ever go with The Rhino, I would be ready and waiting.”
Given Webb’s willingness to share information about the upcoming sequel on Twitter, perhaps he will give fans a look at who else Spider-Man has to contend with in the flick.
Video teasing the costume has been embedded below.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Sally Field, Shailene Woodley, and Dane DeHaan. Look for the film to swing into theaters on May 2, 2014.
