Poor Siobhan Riley . All she wanted to do was inform the inhabitants of Michigan state that an area in the center of Saginaw wasn’t accessible, but instead she drew a giant penis on live television.
It what was the evenings top story, Siobhan begins her segment confidently, telling viewers at home about the map of downtown Saginaw. But the trouble begins when she points out that both Michigan and Poulton Avenue are inaccessible, drawing long lines to signal their closure.
However, they only get worse when she draws a circle around the top of State Avenue too, which completes her phallic piece of art.
Of course, a video of Riley’s creation has since gone viral, and users have been quick to point out that she might have had something else on the brain when she was working for ABC12.
However, in her defence, she did seem to be concentrating on the paperwork in her hand and looked completely unaware of the shape and girth of her drawing. But as Sigmund Freud famously remarked, there are no accidents.
Nether Riley or the TV station have commented on the incident yet, but they’re not the first to fall foul of such a childish, yet devilishly amusing accident.
Karl Stefanovic completely lost it whilst hosting the Austrailian Today show, when a reference to a “long, stabby thing” in the bedroom was made.
It was all supposed to be an innocent chit chat about keeping defensive weapons at your bedside in case of an intruder.
However when he asked his co-host, Lisa Wilkinson, if she had been lucky enough to experience something similarly “long and stabby” in the bedroom, he started to ball with laughter.
This was only exacerbated by Ben Fordham’s remark that he liked “standing back and whacking them off from a distance,” which he made in reference to a golf club he used as a weapon for defence.
