Ronda Rousey, Kellan Lutz, and Victor Ortiz are the latest additions to Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming action flick The Expendables 3.
The Rocky star has been extremely busy trying to assemble an impressive number of individuals for next year’s sequel. After teasing fans on Twitter , Stallone finally revealed that Rousey and Ortiz will join the cast of his popular franchise.
Reports also suggest that Twilight star Kellan Lutz is being courted for a role in The Expendables 3 as well. The actor, who recently starred in the action flick Arena, is currently in talks with producers for a role in the movie.
Since Stallone frequently tosses names around as possible candidates for the follow-up, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly who is involved with the project. Recent rumors have suggested that everyone from Jackie Chan to Milla Jovovich have been approached for the film.
However, one person who probably won’t make an appearance in The Expendables 3 is Nicolas Cage . The actor revealed during a recent interview that he most likely won’t be a part of the sequel.
“I have not had any formal discussions about [Expendables 3]. I’m not in Kick-Ass 2 and I don’t think I’m in Expendables 3. And I like those guys, but I would say it would be highly unlikely that I’d be in that movie,” Cage told Screen Rant during a recent interview.
Stallone continues to suggest that Mel Gibson could play the villain in The Expendables 3. Although nothing about the actor’s involvement has been confirmed just yet, the Rambo star’s recent tweet suggests Gibson is still a possibility.

Australian director Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) has been tapped to bring the next installment of the franchise to the big screen. If all goes according to plan, the flick should arrive in theaters across North American next August.
