You’ve probably heard the vuvuzela or rather the sound it makes. Calling it noise is as disrespectful towards the South Africans as calling Duncan’s didgeridoo noise. The vuvuzela is a South African instrument, but if it isn’t played correctly or by 25,000 people it might annoy your ears a bit.
The good news is that it doesn’t stop the wonderful people of the internet from making even more annoying things with the vuvuzela.
Why not pick up “NOW! That’s what I call Vuvuzela” with such great hits as “Vuvuzela during the opening anthems” or “The Own-Goal Vuvuzela”. *Cough Denmark cough*
You could also browse the web as if you are in the middle of a South African stadium. Vuvuzela-time.co.uk has created a small service that gives you that special atmosphere.
If you are bored and tired of Guitar Hero or Rock Band, why not play Vuvuzela Hero ?
For those of you who just can’t get vuvuzela enough there’s the real test. The Vuvuzela-How.Long-Can-You-Stand-It-Test . Turn up for your loudspeakers and give it your best shot.
Finally it isn’t a proper internetmeme without Hitler commenting on the vuvuzela or a ribbon to put on your twitter picture . The vuvuzela ribbon is even colored in the German flag’s colors.
Bonus info: The vuvuzela sound is inspired by the sound goats make on the way to the butcher.
