Beyonce gave fans in London a little something extra during a show on Saturday — an appearance from her daughter, Blue Ivy.
The young daughter of Beyonce and Jay-Z made a brief visit on stage, wearing a white dress and large protective headphones. As Beyonce sand “Irreplaceable” at the O2 Arena, Blue Ivy made her way onto the stage and held hands with her mom.
The moment between Beyonce and Blue Ivy was caught on a YouTube video posted on Vibe.com .
Beyonce told ABC News that despite the occasional appearance before 20,000 fans, Blue Ivy is going to have a normal upbringing.
“And I am very protective. I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life … in the back of my mind, she’s my priority. And life is completely different now. I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love, and now have a way bigger meaning. And that’s to be her mother.”
Beyonce added that, despite the success she’s found, she’s still down-to-earth herself.
“You know, at the end of the day you’re the same exact person. I still like the simple things. Like, I have on my press-on nails right now. I have on my store-bought press-on nails. But my color, my paint is professionally done.”
Beyonce has been more open about her family life lately, sharing some home footage for an HBO documentary earlier this year and talking about plans for another child.
Beyonce said: “I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister.”
But Beyonce didn’t steer clear of controversy in her interview with ABC News . She also talked about the controversial trip she and Jay-Z took to Cuba.
“You know, it was such a beautiful trip,” Beyonce said. “I met some incredible children. I visited some incredible entrepreneurs. And it was really, it was really educational for me. I learned so much about so many people and the country, and it was actually quite shocking.”
