Now it looks like Lawrence has taken her sarcasm up another notch. Shailene Woodley, who’s having more than a moment as the industry’s next “It” girl, opened up about receiving some interesting advice from the Silver Linings Playbook star.
Woodley told Vanity Fair that when she spoke to Jennifer Lawrence about whether or not she should take the role in Divergent, she said she should “definitely take it.” Sound enough advice, right?
Jennifer Lawrence’s advice didn’t end there, as the actress jokingly told Woodley to let it all hang out after she’s done becoming a bonafide star.
“[She said] it will be the best thing that ever happened. But don’t be an idiot, do a sex tape, do drugs. And go to Whole Foods when your movie opens.”
Woodley has said that at first she was hesitant to sign on to play the lead in the new Young Adult adaptation, because she knew it would mean she would have to sign on for two more sequels to complete the franchise.
Lawrence, who has her own franchise with the Young Adult hit The Hunger Games opened up to Moviefone last year about picking the perfect franchise to be a part of:
“I think if you sign on to the right franchise [you’re OK]. I don’t feel like a slave to anyone. I feel like I’m very passionate about this story and what it means about our world and about humanity. It’s something I want to talk about, I want people to see, and I’m proud to put my name to it.”
Sounds like Lawrence really has her head on straight. That said, if we spot Shailene out at Whole Foods we know what’s coming next.
