This dramatic-thriller hits Netflix on September 24. Rossif Sutherland plays a doctor volunteering in Laos. He intercedes during a sexual assault on a young woman and kills the assailant, who ends up being the son of an Australian senator; afraid for his life, the doctor flees. He is wanted for the murder of the senator’s son and the rape of the young woman. Many critics considered River to be one of the most underrated movies of 2016.
Marvel’s Luke Cage
Netflix has provided popular original series like Orange is the New Black , House of Cards , Stranger Things , and many more. When Netflix teamed with Marvel for Daredevil , the show was a great success. Since then, they have released Jessica Jones and several more Marvel shows have been in the works. Luke Cage is the latest addition from this duo and audiences can hardly wait.
